You do realize that the Soviet Union also invaded Afghanistan in 1979, correct?
And you do realize that the cover story for that invasion was the Soviet charge that they were INVITED into Afghanistan to help protect that country from some outside threat...
End result: 8 years of war,almost a million Afghans killed, 15,000 Soviet soldiers killed.

@ECabot22 We are there for no reason at all and fighting a war that can't be won ! Harper can spend billions in Afghanistan but won't spend a penny to help poor Canadian people or starving Canadian families. (Conservative=USA). I guess its ok to kill our young canadian kids huh? If you would lose your child in Afghanistan,you would think otherwise you moron.
