Delta Shoreline Fishing Trip #1

Just an lazy Sunday morning of catching and releasing a bunch of hungry young stripers.
Old river located about 25 miles west of Stockton just off hwy 4.

what type of rig were you using? and bait?

6 lb line, sinker slide with 1/2 ounce weight and a size "1" hook. The bait was anchovy.

Two weeks ago on a trip to Antioch I saw at least three trucks up on the levee posted in this video. I can only assume they were fishing. Only way to know for sure is to try :)

My dad caught alot of fish there..he caught 2 big striper there..

a 47 inches and a 35 inches..

go during nite time during 7pm until 2 am in the morning..

or at 6am in the morning..

when the water starts rising..big fish is coming

I went there later in the fall and to my surprise reeled in one about 27" on my small ugly stick - I thought my 8 lb test was going to snap. Congrats on your dad landing those monsters! And thanks for the tips on what times to go fishing :)

@pyros46290 what do you consider dirty lol? trash on the shore or something? the only thing bad about delta water might be the traces of pesticide in the water..

ive fished around that bridge from my boat before, hopin 4 stripers but didnt hook up, current was strong and water very dirty
