War Horse hits theaters on December 28th, 2011.

Cast: Emily Watson, David Thewlis, Peter Mullan, Niels Arestrup, Tom Hiddleston, Jeremy Irvine, Benedict Cumberbatch, Toby Kebbell

DreamWorks Pictures' "War Horse," director Steven Spielberg's epic adventure, is a tale of loyalty, hope and tenacity set against a sweeping canvas of rural England and Europe during the First World War. "War Horse" begins with the remarkable friendship between a horse named Joey and a young man called Albert, who tames and trains him. When they are forcefully parted, the film follows the extraordinary journey of the horse as he moves through the war, changing and inspiring the lives of all those he meets—British cavalry, German soldiers, and a French farmer and his granddaughter—before the story reaches its emotional climax in the heart of No Man's Land.

The First World War is experienced through the journey of this horse—an odyssey of joy and sorrow, passionate friendship and high adventure. "War Horse" is one of the great stories of friendship and war— a successful book, it was turned into a hugely successful international theatrical hit that is arriving on Broadway next year. It now comes to screen in an epic adaptation by one of the great directors in film history.

  • i heard sarah jessica parker was nominated for best actress in this movie

  • I used to work for a man who is Jewish and lived in Germany through the war. He was one of the few who, thanks to his ingenious Nan, survived. From his whole extended family it was only he, his brother, an uncle and his nan who survived. One day he started talking, so I just listened. What he told me was horrific, but he said that his worst memory was of seing dying horses. He got used to seing dead or dying people, but the dying horses and the soldiers trying to help them, stuck with him.

I speak as a Horse owner and Lover that this is a beautifully made film the dialogue of the characters were so passionate and meaningful respect to that brave men who fought on the front line for our country!

  • ...because the strength of that horse isn't in the muscles but it comes straight from the heart, from the love which is between the horse and the boy, he wants to survive for the boy that's how I think, anyway the film is just amazing!!!

  • It is going to be my favorite movie!! be brave and never, ever loose a hope(it is all about life a really life) doesn't matter how many times I see that, but the tears are still coming into my eyes. I want to be as strong as that horse then I can be sure I will win my life!

  • Gosh.. I don't know if I want to see it.. I'm crying at only watching the trailer...

  • This is the most amazing film I have ever seen!

  • I remember my family dragged me to see this movie, and I wasn't really looking forward to it.

At the very beginning, I was thinking, "This isn't that good."

As it progressed, I thought, "This isn't that bad..."

In the middle, I thought, "This is pretty darn good.."

Toward the end, I was thinking, "This is amazing."

At the end, I was crying.

Once the credits rolled, I was applauding.

This is one of my favorite movies of all time, and I would recommend it to anyone!
