@asamayub : thanks man. i found a pre-single version of this on a demo cd from her publisher, and eq'd the rest of the track out as much as possible. then i silenced every bit of the track that wasn't vocal, and worked from that framework adding new sounds.

Good remix. However, its not to my taste. Way too much stuttering and this could have AMAZING potential as a dance track. Add some breakbeat and rid it of the stuttering. Brilliant. Did the promo CD they hand you have the acapella on it or did you just make do with the original version?

thanks for your comment. i don't have the cd single/accapella - instead i was given a promo CD through a freind of a friend.

i then cut out the kick and snare sounds from that track (just leaving gaps - which i replaced with my own drum sounds. its because i had to work from this basis that the track has that stuttery aspect you mentioned - as once i'd cut out the drum sounds i was left with some beginnings of words cut off. some people might say 'glitchy' - check out an artist called edit.

if you don't like it then maybe give suggestions if you know what your talking about. but either way, its called a remix for a reason people. any artist who can remix a song and still have the heart of the original is up there in my list. :] this being one of them. veryy niceee

PS - i produce myself, and am even gettin ready for the big show, across all major networks from next month, EVERY GENRE, and im hittin a SHIT_LOAD of artists, whom are all on the 'JamPakked' movement (one of us has a jamican ethnicity and the other of pakistani hence Jam Pakked! hehe
