I flew this particular aircraft when I was based at MCAS El Toro with VMA-311 during the years 1984-1987. We had a number of A-4 pilots from that period in attendance at the ceremony. It was a great ceremony. The aircraft is located at 691 N. Broadway in Santa Ana, CA. A-4s Forever! Semper Fidelis, Feeny

I loved the A4-M. I worked on them at El Toro with VMA-214 the Black Sheep. It was a great plane, to bad it is gone and so is El Toro. A4's forever. Simper Fi.

I was a plane captain with VMA 134 at El Toro for several years in the early 80's. What an awesome aircraft that was! The sportscar of the sky, complete with armament! As well as an awesome place to have the honor of serving!
I currently don't live in So. California. Can anyone let me know where this memorial is located? I would love to visit when I return.

El Toro is closed. They made the 3rd Marine Air Wing relocate to Miramar. Some love, hey? El Toro was a wonderful duty station.

ese es un a4 m creo si son del mismo tipo que se modernizaron ak en el país y se llaman a4 ar ....tienen un diseño de la decada del 50 d los primeros aviones con esa forma y todavia siguen andando son muy buenos aviones y operan con bajo costo

por cierto,estos pilotos son veteranos de la guerra de vietnam??
