Sims 2 Resolution and Special Event Fixes

My voice is a bit low in the beginning, but picks up.
If necessary, I'll post annotations, but the visuals should be clear enough.

In this tutorial, I show you:
1. How to play in windowed mode.
2. Fix your screen resolution once and for all.
3. Turn on the special event camera even if it is greyed out.



May 11, 2010:
I will not help you find a virtual camera for your computer. Google it.

If you have a Mac, I do not know how to initiate windowed mode.

If the resolution fix isn't working for you, make sure you covered ALL the folders for ALL your expansion packs.

If the boolprop choosecamerapsecialeventenabled true isn't working for you, make sure you're OUTSIDE of the camera options when you enter it. Spell / type it in correctly, hit enter, then return to the camera options to see it highlighted.

i can't scroll now how do i make it full screen ?

@tempalil Calm down. As said in the video, -w allows you to play in windowed mode. In order to make my screen bigger, I chose the screen resolution I wanted. I personally do not like to play in full-screen mode because I multitask.  If you want to go back to full-screen, remove the -w from your file location chain. If you have a wide screen monitor, enter your resolution values for it in the min / max options shown in this video.

after the video is made with the special event camera, where do i go to find them...cause they weren't my videos file...so where should i go to find them i made like three.

I would not know for your specific computer. You might have changed the file location. By default, movies go to My documents > EA Games > The Sims 2 > Movies.

it woundn't work on my laptop its windows 7 basicy when i enter the -w but make sure you enter "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Nightlife\TSBin\Sims2EP2.exe"(­space)-w dont write space just don't forget to put the space there

none of my expansion packs have the "-w" in the target area..

i keep on writing in the cheat to enable.. but it wont work...YES: I did write it in the CORRECT spelling..
