In this episode I teach you how to use the AeroPress coffee brewer. This is a great brewer that has a unique process. You will also see a Shock Coffee review, and a AeroPress brewer review. Thank you for your positive comments and encouragement.

  • jesus christ himself used the aeropress

  • @andreahurley17 No, that was an olivepress. He obviously used a syphon pot when he was at home, but may have opted for the travel french press mug on the road. I think I'll ask him someday ;)

  • You can skip from 2:10 to 4:55 to avoid the stupid advertisement for Shock coffee in the middle. Really coffeenate? 1/3 of a video is a commercial?

  • @Gig103 Dude, this was my second video ever. Do I buy from Shock coffee now? Nope...I like fresh roasted goodness, but it took me quite some time to learn about coffee. Thanks for taking the time to comment!

  • SOS!!!!!!!!

Am I the only person who thinks coffees used with this method lost a lot of their characteristic and become so smooth and low in acidity that the cup can only be described as in MONO ????

NB. I think it has nothing to do with paper filter being used as I love Hario and Chemex brewing and I re-use the filters I think up to 10 times each.

  • @klarinetta The combination of paper filter with only a 10 second steep time gives it a decidedly mellow flavor.

  • Ok I've played a little more around with this brewer and it's very forgiving. You can get clear cup with the acidity or heavy winey body all depending on grind fines and contact time. I still find it too muted and I have to use 28g for around 9oz of brewed coffee when in other methods I can use 24g for 10oz of brewed coffee.

But what I do like is that coffee with lot of earthy tones like Sumatra or Selebes can be balanced out in this method so those are the coffees I like the most in Aeropress.

  • @coffeenate1 I'm sure you(or the company that is doing this advertising promotion) only ship to the 48 USA states and no international shipping.

  • @coffeenate1 Even upside down with longer steeping time doesn't change things a lot.

  • @klarinetta PS...giving away 10 Toddy Brewers and 10 lbs of coffee for the next month! Enter on facebook or my site coffeenate, com :D

  • @klarinetta Thanks for the follow up! I have left this method alone for the most part. I still use it if I get a small sample size, but like you said it is extremely clean. I like it down and dirty ;) I recently saw a metal filter screen that is aeropress compatible and I think I may give that a shot! I like the concept...hate that it strips much of the character from the brew. Take care c[_]

  • @andreahurley17 maybe. Before he realized he could just squeeze the espresso out of a hand full of beans.
