Mental Health Voices is Canadian Mental Health Association Vancouver-Burnaby branch's (CMHA) signature fund raising event. During the 2008 event an award was presented to Matthew Good, one of Canadas most successful artists, singers and song writers of the past two decades and two time Juno Award Winner. He was admitted to hospital after suffering from a breakdown in 1996, which, he later found out, was a result of having bipolar disorder. He now devotes much of his time furthering our cause through personal openness, and helping others who are also facing mental health issues.

  • Beautiful.

  • Myself and 3 others ran the grueling 75km west coast trail this summer to raise money for the cmha. We raised $14000. We documented the whole journey, the videos are funny and inspirational. You should check them out by youtube searching "1 day for the cmha"

  • He's looking a lot like Steven Page these days. But his music is better.

  • I went through the exact thing. My entire life has been bizarre - my actions anyways. I always wondered why I was like this. Then about 4 months ago I tried to kill myself and ended up in the care of Mental Health for about 3 weeks. They realized within a few days that I have had an Anxiety Disorder my whole life. They described my feelings exactly. I had NEVER in my life ever experienced that. They knew me and that was SUCH a relief. To know what what wrong just made me cry from it.

  • Matthew is one of the few musicians I truly respect outside of the music business. He's one who makes a difference for speaking his mind. Very nice video. Thanks for sharing!
