  • I don't know who to watch-miss Fontaine or that giant reporter's glasses! xD

  • wow that's so sad that these 2 women can't make up for the sake of their eternity and they're not going to be around much longer. Forgiveness is so important. Forgive one another before it's too late.

  • @BabeonToast Not really.. he enjoys a warm relationship with Olivia, mostly by email. He saw her sometime in the last year, I think, when a mutual friend died (the one who introduced them.)

She's in Paris now as you might know. ... She seems to have quite a sense of humor.

  • @millvalleyrn Yes, I know, thank you :) I mean, the friend of yours who knows Olivia de Havilland. Anything else he's shared with you about her or Joan? :)

  • @berkshire101 They do have the same mannerisms and you can definitely see the family resemblance.

  • @BabeonToast ..the silence referring to Olivia and Joan not speaking to one another for many years.

  • @forthton Hana Gartner is a far better journalist than Barbara Walters.

  • @millvalleyrn Can you elaborate on that? :)

  • A friend of mine knows Ms. de Havilland. He doesn't ask much about her personal life unless she offers. This silence between them is, unfortunately, true.

  • Very Classy. Both Olivia and Joan.

  • @reidb18

Her mother was 88 years old for heaven's sake. I'm sure Ms Fontaine knows that she was lucky to have her that long - most people don't.

  • Interesting facts about the de Havilland family being well known in Canada for building planes. Never knew that before. I know they are originally English, Olivia and Joan being born in Japan of English parents when their father was a patent attorney in Tokyo.
