I splurged today at the Brookville Indiana tractor show. I found this engine and bought it. It, as usual, had no compression or spark. After about an hour of work, this thing started right up. Runs great, no smoke, and sounds good too. Can't beat it.

  • I got my black wisconsin to run so slow that it had to engage the impulse coupling in the mag, but it was running on a gas mixture of like 20 needle turns out.

  • Thats cool! where some of those WMs produced without oil breathers on sides? I know some do, some dont.

  • Looks and sounds good for a "Briggs". The modern ones are no contest.

  • i swear these older ones are balances so much better than the modern day briggs 5*!!!!!! VERY NCIE MAN!

  • good job! i did alot of work to my ABN wisconsin! it runs soooo butter smooth now at mid throttle and idle with no choke anymore! it surges just alittle in the higher throttle. but it will idle so slow its amazing its still running!
