A mate of mine now towes a huge "Reiher" vintage glider into the air with his powerful Wilga: With the gliders 12kp even with his big engine he is trying hard to gain altitude. When disconnecting the gilders tow clutch fails which the pilots didn't notice. So the Reiher is ripped down by the Wilga and almost brakes into pieces by that! For the incident watch 4:30 min.

  • A glider cannot land well draggin a line. I have done that myself. No fault of pilot. 34 years exp here.

  • @xterminatorSD So it is!

  • FesterBable came to my channel and made no sense at all. His name is Fester Bable. I never looked closely at his name before.

  • @xterminatorSD Seems like he is one of those idiots out there who just want to make trouble. sometimes I am wondering about myself why I spend time on this crap...

  • @FesterBable At first its not me flying there and then you could also watch 3:14 where you see the windsock being stretched horizontal apart from the well noticable wind sound. Because of your ignorance I am quite sure that even this will not convince you. So I don't see any reason to spend more of my time on arguing with you.

  • @aviatorsbh No, I don't always make perfect landings, but I don't blame anything other than my own abilities either. There is no wind of any significance in this video. Smoke from an exaust pipe will blow away in even the slightest breeze. The windmills are not turning, and trying to explain that with some maintenance crap is simply too low. Admit that you need to practice landing.

  • @FesterBable And of course, you don't have uploaded any videos yourself, so I can only imagine your always perfect landings.

  • @FesterBable Obviously you didn't watch or listen closely. Otherwise you might have noticed the gust sounds in the microphone, the grass tilting and the exhaust gas being blown away by the wind. Also the slip approaches would be inappropriate in no wind.

  • @aviatorsbh "Very windy"? Lol. What a lame excuse. There is obviously no wind at all in this film. And I agree that most people don't train landings enough. It is very rare to see someone land an RC plane properly. The landings of the glider in this video are poor too.

  • @YeahYeahYeahs8 Probably shut down due to maintanance. Didn't you notice how the exhaust gas from the Wilga is being blown away by the crosswind from the right side?
