Sydney Gay And Lesbian Mardi Gras 1995 Brisbane entry (corrected details)

The 1995 Brisbane community entry to the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade featured dazzling lights, unauthorised fireworks and pumping audio by SkyPak Lighting who were the major sponsors and facilitators. It was a "sunshine state" beach theme. I designed and made the sun, the dune and the signage (including "swim safely between the fags" - which was copied in a more recent Brisbane entry). Bernard Dyer applied his skills as visual merchandising artist. Elle McFeast (Libby Gore) interviewed a very excited Beth Stevenson (her partner Lynn Burnett looks on). Beth should convince anyone that being in the Parade is the thrill of a lifetime. BTW: positioned behind Beth you'll notice my legs - which found a good 15 seconds of fame on national television.
