The Stoning of Soraya M. Movie Review

The Stoning of Soraya M. is based on the eponymous book which is a recounting of a horrifying true story. A woman in a small Iranian village was stoned to death, a shocking practice that still occurs several times a year around the world, when she didn't grant her abusive husband a divorce. The film is brutal, violent, exhaustively emotional and consuming. It's not the kind of film you may want to see, but it's one you should see.

Absolutely breathtaking movie. Cried my eyes out for how unjust her death was. So much symbolism and lies. I've never hated a man so much until her husband started to accuse her. It's a must see movie, more emotional than the Passion of Christ. Far more. With more meaning as well. I encourage strength in all women of the world.

Village people in Iran just like Rednecks in America have the same kind of blind justice. I had the same feeling watching movies about Redneck Right Wing Christian Extremists. In southern West Virginia, there is an area that there is no running water or electricity. The people who live there don't stone you, they shoot you for putting your foot on their mountain. Of course these Un-Islamic things like stoning is something that needs to be corrected by Muslims, however rednecks are the same.

Terrible injustices happen in this world cos people with grandiose egos subject others and mistakenly make themselves believe that what they're doing is right simply because no one challenges their authority. When someone does challenge their authority then they're killed. They still think their authority goes unchallenged therefore they're still right.
