Thanks for posting this. I watched this on TV with my dad (Sinatra fan) one night after I had taken my then girlfriend now wife home. My dad liked how the intro to one song was followed by Harry singing another. I bought my dad the LP when it was released, I now have the CD version with the extra tracks.
This video brings back memories of that night, unfortunately my father passed in 1975. Thanks to Harry for a great night and the memories it holds.

You know this is not Nilsson recording his GREAT LP!! It's a BBC special promoting the album! As much as I enjoy this, the LP/CD is even better, recorded in 6 studio sessions! God, I love listening to Harry!!

My Dad and my uncle never stopped playing this album when i was a kid, I have just bought it now 30 odd years later, the memories, music, arrangement have me in rapture. Mate (Bloberry) you are a top man for posting this.

THE missing Beatle

Nilsson focused, sober and performing as a master singer--what a treat.

@ChasBeauregarde Technically Ringo beat him to the punch with "Sentimental Journey" in 1970, but they were great mates and very much on the same wavelength on a lot of things. Nilsson did a better job anyway. :)

Harry was the first of rock's generation to do the "revisit the standards and big band ballads" way before Linda Rondstadt and Rod Stewart. He was one of a kind Harry was. If Buddy Holly had lived he might have beat Harry to this type of music (think "True Love Ways") but fate dealt Harry the card. Miss 'em both.

Harry's one my biggest influences as a singer - such control; the man must have four lungs. Gorgeous album.
