Music of the Night (cello cover) - Phantom of the Opera

I am not a classically trained cellist. I did play violin for a little less than 10 years though. My friend, Henry, let me borrow his cello two years ago, and I started from there. Hope you like it.

One question....are you a giant human being, or is that not a full size cello, or do you not know that it had an extendable endpin? OK, so maybe that was three questions.

I am an average sized human being. This is my friend's cello and to my knowledge it is a full size. And yes I know about the extendable endpin.

Sorry, I never learned how to play cello correctly. I am actually a violinist.

Some notes are a little scratchy, some are out of tune, but nice job overall.

I liked the dynamics and vibrato, very nice touches :)

I don't play cello (I took a crash course on it and want to learn more), so I could be wrong, but it looks like you're angling your fingers too much on the neck. I always held them straighter...again, I might not be remembering correctly =3

haha, thanks for your feedback. I actually do not play cello. I play violin....I sorta taught myself a while ago, but haven't gotten the time to practice.

Beautiful! I play cello as well and i love this song. I also like how u made it your own, changin the rhythm a bit. U might wanna try playin with a metronome even tho its really annoying. U had a small problem with rushing n dragging

You learned it by ear and your really a violinist? That is pretty amazing. Just saying. I have been playing cello for 4 and a half years and I have been trying to learn these songs and I can never get it even this close. Bravo! =]

I used to play violin as well...mad in love my baby (cello) hahah but ya i can under stand the kinda switch. and as far as the angled fingers go..for who ever pointed that out...i forgot lol...but violinist have curved fingers and its really hard to make that switch on the cello.

and i just learned that song last night too...by ear. u did a great job =)
