Star Wars: The Old Republic MMORPG Trailer

This is a brief behind the scenes of the new MMORPG from the Star Wars Universe made by Lucasarts and Bioware, this deals with the storyline for Star Wars 1,000 years before the time of Darth Vader and the New Republic,it mostly revolves around hte battle of the Jedi and the Sith. Looks to be a exciting and new game that should be hitting the market very very soon.

"The other next-gen games all look alike because they all look like reality" ?? Is that the most lame excuse/rationalization for haveing graphics that look exactly like KOTOR & KOTORII on original XBox? Regarding the 4th pillar, at what point does storyline become superfluous & only PVP!! PVP!! etc matters? Will 'choice,' 'deep storyline(of an antiquated irrelevant tale)' & a fan base be enough too overcome last-gen graphics, over-exposure & choppy, repetitive combat mechanics?

The game is still in production, only one class and no races have been confirmed. It's probably gonna be another year or so before they can announce that the game is done just so they can go and DeBug. There's hardly any info about the game except for the setting. Don't make such a quick assumption.

@reflexdtd Yeah get the feeling they have been living with their heads in the sand for the past 10 years and have failed to notice what all the other MMO's have been doing for a long time now. ANd whats this crap about the 4th pillar??? They dude spoke about ti like it was some kind of ground breaking idea which no one had ever tried before. Sadly I am not holding out much hope for this game. :(

I really get the feeling listening to them talk that they feel a slight departure from an on rails game like Knights of the old republic will be enough to make for a great game. I gotta be honest I dispised KOTR because you pretty much got stuck on a set of rails and became a passenger as the story played out on your screen. Everything I heard in this video made it sound like they are really not stepping far beyond that. I really don't think they truely understand what an open world is.

the fights still look stupid.. i´d suggest they would look at ONI (not many ppl know this game) and copy some from there.. i think that would be really awsome!
