This is a good idea and if used correctly should be done with caution so you do not end up hurting yourself.

Materials I used are:
One tent -- no cost (from the basement)
One steam -- gun (I will add the price once I find the receipt)
Bucket -- no cost (had it already)
Seating -- foam square sealed in a plastic trash bag)
Wire -- no cost (had it already)
Shipping mats -- no cost (had them already. You could also use blankets.)
Water -- (for the steamer and drinking)
Towels -- no cost (had them already.)
Timer -- no cost (had it already.)
Thermometer -- (That thermometer is so sensitive it starts drooping as soon as it is out past the tent flap.)

Supplemental

In my area inflatable chairs are a seasonal product and no one had any (it is winter here now) so I improvised with a foam square sealed it in a plastic trash bag with a twist tie.

Naturopath
My wife's naturopath said to cut down on viruses we could be in a steam room 15 minutes per session, 2 or 3 times per day maximum. We should also clean and dry everything well when done.

Warning: If when you are in the Steam room and you begin at all to feel faintly or dizzy you should leave immediately (slowly but swiftly. Don't try to stand up like normal. Crawl out if you need to. Placing a cool to cold cloth on the back of the neck will also help to bring your body temperature down. Feeling this way is because you have been in there to long for your current body type. Some people are more sensitive to steam and heat then others. If you are just beginning you may need to have several sessions spread out over a few weeks before the body becomes more accustomed.

  • This is a Great idea :)

I think for myself I would want to modify with something like cotton canvas?

The only reason I say that is because I thought of the chemicals that would be fuming off of whatever the tent is made of...not good.

    But...yeah this is a Wonderful idea :D

  • Hey Brian, I modified your idea. Instead of a tent I used a kids T-pee that I found on ebay. Its 40x40x56 and perfect for a one man steam sauna. Thanks for the idea though. But I think the T-pee works best. Probably could make my own T-pee if I had the time. The one I bought cost 20 bucks and was designed for indoor and outdoor use.

  • I'm trying to rig something up like this myself. Hard to fight a small tent. Thinking about going with some kind of poncho arrangement. I want to try the tent first. Good video. You think about putting towels around the bottom of the tent to keep the heat in?

  • Good video ... giving me ideas on my steam room.

  • @killerjamieson - You shouldnt Judge people , With what judement you use , So will it come back to you . I think its a helpful Video . His video got 63, 172 views so . . . . . .

  • AMAZING VIDEO! Thanks again for this man!

  • 20:16 Fail

  • Spandy1314 that is completely false.

You can't release pure chlorine gas from water just by boiling it.

As far as I know there are only two ways that you can make Cl2 gas. Electrolysis of sodium chloride in water, and combining chlorine tablets with rubbing alcohol.

If you were correct than how would steam rooms work? and why wouldn't showering kill you?

    Think about it.
