Wow, I was never that smart when I was her age. You know when she says, "How do you pronounce your name?" I would just say, "how do you say it?" And when whe says, "no I have'nt read any but I read a poem." I would pretty much say, "no, i didn't". You know? I think it's because back then the tv shows were educational. now they're just cartoons blowing up and doing impossible stunts. I wish I was born in those days.
I watched another show that Donahue did at that time where adults from Russia & the U.S. communicated by satellite. I would've watched this one, too, had I known about it. The late-'80s to early-'90s was a pretty optimistic and hopeful time for me. (Although, many people on this planet couldn't say the same.) I agree with other people in this forum about the current world situation.
There's a place in Southern California which might have "Free to be a Family." It's called Eddie Brandt's Saturday Matinee. (They have a website, which can be found in a Google search.) They sell and rent, but for something this rare they may only rent. They used to rent by mail to people outside the area (including VHS tapes). I assume they still do. Good luck. I hope to find it, too.
Hey 70s kids. You have no future. American will be bankrupt in 2011. Enjoy the 80s and 90s while you can.
