In my mind the Best acapella song I ever heard. with the possible exception of Camelots " Don't leave me baby" No music just down home harmony ( it's not that im' not down home now )
but when I hear great doo wop like this I go somewhere else I think it's heaven listen to the Nutmeg do down in Mexico Acapella.....Great

    Im with U on that, if a record ever shouldve been made out of GOLD, this is it. What a Boss side to hear, with headphones on its even more spectacular.

  • @patrickb5197 Believe it or not, Down In Mexico was a Demo tape recorded for Klik Records between '57 & '58 and not mean to be published. Klik never did release it. Now Sam Rose of Times Square Records got hold of the demo tapes when Klik closed in '64 and released all of those accapella records. He made a few buck on them, but not sure, and am almost positive he never paid the Nutmegs a dime.

    . But this is great nonetheless.

  • The harmony in this song is amazing, acappella that sounds like they have a full orchestra backing them up.
