I have x850xt and have searched and tryed out safe overclocking using RivaTuner. Original: Coreclock = 519,8 MHz and Memory clock = 540 MHz.
Safe highest overclocking that work fine without any artifacts ad so on: Coreclock = 540,0 MHz and Memory clock = 600,0 MHz. U dont need any extra fan for this, the only thing U need to do (so U don´t overheat your graphic-card) is to speed up the original graphic-fan. In rivatuner U set fan-speed on fixed, I let it go on 80% when playing. That´s all!

How can you play Crysis at all on an x850? I thought DX10 was required??

DX10 is off !! I have play this with DX9, Shader Model 2.0 and with medium and high settings.
