Floyd Red Crow Westerman Speaks about an event that occurred in 1863 where 38 people of the Dakota tribe were selected to be summarily executed as an example to the remainder to quell an uprising that was born from the government agencies failing to honour one of the provisions of the treaty to supply food. To date it is the largest "documented" & "official" termination of life by hanging in American history.

Thank you for posting this. I did not know that the Indian Reservations were once actual concentration camps. It's so typical that this was left out of the history books (they either put half truth or total lies in the history books). This is a very cruel world. I love the Native American people.
