This choreography of Smt. Jamuna Krishnan was specially se to this complex rhythmic cycle of 5 beats + 5x4 beats. It concludes with a prayer to Rama. This thillana was premiered in Delhi as part of an "Arts fellowship" received by Jai Govinda from the Indo-Canada Shastri Institute.

@dpinvogue I never said he danced bad..........in fact he danced amazingly.........but vaidehiraghavan didnt have to put women down just to praise him........ some women are just as good......it all depends on each person, their teachers

@Umacutie Are you dismissing Jai Govinda's innate skill and a lifetime promoting Bharatanatyam just because he is a male dancer? The grace and beauty of Bharatanatyam is learned over a lifetime of study under an excellent teacher. In Jai's case, it was under U. S. Krishna Rao and Chandrabhaga Devi, Jamuna Krishna and Jayalakshmi Eshwar. Additionally, the ability to follow the talas and interpret the sahityam in a beautiful way belongs solely to neither male dancers nor female dancers.

Wonderful. Infact only guys should do bharatnatyam. Their postures are better than women doing it.
