  • Ughhh y does nobody post videos for the chakgums....... Im trying to figure out how do do the 3rd chakgum but i cant find any videos...

  • @geckodty

If you go to my website, you'll see all twelve of my HDGD videos, including the third form. Unfortunately, because of the music and copyright laws, my third video is blocked in Germany. Your profile indicates you're from the USA though, so I'm not sure why you cannot see it. Also, Chakgum means to return the sword, so I assume you mean Gumbup (form). Anyway, here is my website: nicholasleeson dot kom / hdgd dot shtml

    Cheers,

    Nick

  • Which chakgum number is at the end?

  • 'Chakgum' means to return the sword, so I assume you mean 'which Gumbup number is at the end', in which case that would be #12 (for Ssang Soo).

  • thanx this is helping me for my black belt cause my instrutore said i need t have them all near mastered

  • Cool man, glad to hear it. Just keep in mind that Chris doesn't teach the International Standard, and thus your instructor may have slight differences in the way he wants you to perform your forms. Good Luck with your training.

  • its interesting how in korean culture the obi is worn outside the hakama.... in japanese martial arts the straps of the hakama are wraped in the obi to hold them up....hmmm

  • @mujersamurai

I study kendo, iaido, jodo (jojutsu) and aikido. Maybe I'll enter to some clases of haidong. I don't know too much about it. All I want is increasing my knowledge in order to put it in practice whenever it be needed. Comparisons are not good. All I can tell is that I observe that iaido and kendo katas are more accurate or precise. I shall know it soon. See you!

  • en vez de concentrarte en la velocidad, deberias hacerlo en hacer posiciones correctas y a cada paso, ademas de que en cada corte deberia haber mas precision

  • Your walking stance is pretty poor.

I don't know. I didn't watch just to criticise you, or anything, but I just got a major sense of sloppiness.

  • @geckodty Hello I'm a practitioner of Haidong Gumdo in mexico (Red Belt), student of the 7th Dan Yang Tae King President for latin america, if you like I'll be glad to provide u with videos, have a nice day.

  • As my Iaido sensei would say, "... too busy".

  • find him and close shut the jaws of oblivion
