From iol:
Los Angeles - Former US vice-president Al Gore caused controversy on Monday by comparing global-warming sceptics to racists.
He recalled how society succeeded in marginalising racists in the civil rights era, and said climate change sceptics must be defeated in the same manner.
Mr Gore claimed those questioning the veracity of climate change science included in his film - An Inconvenient Truth - will be seen in the same negative light.
"There came a time when racist comments would come up in conversation and in years past they were just natural," he said.
"Then there came a time when people would say 'Why do you talk that way?' and slowly the conversation was won. We have to win the conversation on climate."
Mr Gore has been accused of exaggerating climate change risks for his own political gain and conservative critics have claimed scientific research is skewed to play on the fears of the public.
Last year climate scientists working for the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change came under fire for exaggerating the threat of global-warming.
And in 2009 leaked emails from the University of East Anglia revealed scientists were in breach of freedom of information laws by refusing to hand over raw temperature data to the public.
In an interview with the UStream website, Mr Gore took aim at Texas governor Rick Perry, the Republican US presidential candidate who has been a critic of global-warming alarmists.
"This is an organised effort to attack the reputation of the scientific community as a whole," he added.
George Galloway debates climate change with a climate change denier Marc Morano. Galloway asks him which of the two is the more trustworthy: A group of Scientists or a survivalist far-right Tea Partier who does not believe in climate change at all.

The only green in Gore is the money he is looking to rip off from this carbon tax scam

@Mrbullydog66 Yes 550 mya, the CO2 levels were 20x our pre-industrial CO2 baselines and positive feedback did NOT happen w/ CO2 and temp... Their reply is to claim the sun was cooler. My counter response is 'Oh?, Was the sun 20x cooler'?

Al Bore is a complete joke. If his lips move it means he's lying (if they don't move then he's thinking what lie to say next).
The changing climate has nothing to do with man's emissions, even the global temperature record compared to the CO2 record don't correlate, disproving the hypothesis. Even if they did correlate, that doesn't prove or even demonstrate causation. They could have a common 3rd driver, or be totally coincidental.
Funny how quiet Al has been recently!

@Mrbullydog66 O2 was higher in the past
"The killer proof that CO2 does not drive climate is to be found during the Ordovician- Silurian and the Jurassic-Cretaceous periods when CO2 levels were greater than 4000 ppmv (parts per million by volume) and about 2000 ppmv respectively. If the IPCC theory is correct there should have been runaway greenhouse induced global warming during these periods but instead there was glaciation."

I saw a great analogy on this.
1 million rice grains = ppm air.
385 grains {ppm} = How much carbon there is currently in the air.
15 of those {ppm} = From human activity = only (4%) [cars, energy, manufacturing etc]
1.8 grains {ppm}= Methane
0.31 grains {ppm} = Nitrous Oxide
So out of 1 million ppm Man is responsible for a staggering15 ppm!

Don't get me wrong pollution has alot of negative consequences, even more the more pollution their is, but climate change is not one of them.

As I understand it the debate is not whether their is climate change. The debate is to the why. The big names and money wanting people say it is man made. They want us to do carbon caps and such; which will do nothing for carbon being produced merely allow government/businesses to profit from pollution. The other part of the spectrum are scientists saying it is not man made and that it is a natural occurrence that planets go through. I am on the latter personally.
