There have been a million different cutting solutions on the market, from the Cricut, to the Wishblade and so on. Making Memories believes there is at least room for one more. And if it works as well as we have seen it work, this machine just might cut it...literally.

Santa brought me a Slice this Christmas, and I have to say I absolutely LOVE it! Holding it down takes very little effort, and the time to cut isn't that long at all. For the price, all the different fonts, and the tons of images you get on the design cards, it is definitely worth it!

the machine is currently $139.99 at michaels. that large glass mat is 19.95 (the small glass mat is included) and the cards are $39.95. Not sure if this item will be excluded on coupons like the cricut machines usually are.

I hope the makers add a weight we can put on it so we don't have to spend 60 seconds holding to get one shape. It is really time consuming to hold for each design, then change cards for the next piece you need, and program for each piece, even if it is the same as the one you just did. After about 40 shapes the battery would die and you stop.

I read on Making Memories Site that it was going to sell for $150 with design cards to sell for $40. Still saying Summer of 08 but I read somewhere else the release date was July 20? Let's hope it's soon. I'm saving my pennies.......
