@Maestoso28 and in fact Schumann was one of Tchaikovsky's favourite composers, so there was definitely an artistic kinship between the two.
-
@almecor I didn't know that. I played this piece when I was a senior in highschool for our concerto concert.
-
@Maestoso28 agreed
-
@50bhhamnt play it well.
-
I'm trying to learn this concerto. Any advice anyone?
-
Did you know that this is Schumann's only piano concerto, and that he was a newlywed when he composed it, so his wife was the pianist (Clara Wieck) that played it first?
-
If I am not mistaken, Amir Katz was also the person who played Schubert Sonata in A minor, for Nodame Cantabile (for those who know the show) Great Pianist he is.

precioso, los solos del clarinete y oboe perfectos...

Schumann doesn't owe Tchaikovsky anything. He was before Tchaikovsky.
