It is very interesting to hear her state in the "end interview" that her "leaving Edinburgh" was in perfect harmony with her contract - in many of the books it says that she allowed La Scala to say that she was ill and thus let them hide from the public that they had announced her for a performance for which they hadn't contracted her.
