A moving tribute to Kathy Staff the actress who for many years played the part of Nora Batty in the long running comedy series "Last Of The Summer Wine" made by the BBC, This movie is made up of film clips of the film crew taken by me when the BBC came filming to Holmfirth and is part of a longer dvd which can be bought on line at www.summerwine.tv

  • R.I.P Kathy, you and the cast gave me so many years of pleasure, there will never be a better programme on TV,so sad that it has come to an end, thank god I've everything on video and DVD

  • THANK YOU NAMASTE :) BLESSINGS

  • I think the bbc are wrong to axe what has got to be the best comedy of all time

  • a wonderful tribute to a much missed lady.

  • With regard to the fact that no one can help the way they look, I find it so curious how many beautiful actresses are so downright ugly inside. Kathy was just the opposite: not much to look at but a beautiful soul. I'd take her for a next door neighbor any day of the week and I'll bet she's still makin' 'em laugh where she is now. RIP Kate!

  • Your comment made me cry! Absolutely beautifully stated!!! I LOVE her lil' triangle w/Wally and Compo. That lot will always be hysterical and eternally missed! - J

  • there is no other word for it she was one of the best and will never be forgotten RIP X

  • Thanks so much for this wonderful video of a truly lovely soul. It isn't sad, as some are, and I didn't cry...until that last beautiful photograph. If you haven't read her book, it is worthy of your time; I enjoyed the "real" Kathy's words about her life. Surely one who brought so much joy to others is now rewarded herself. I hope part of her reward is knowing how much we all loved her! She was, indeed a real lady!

  • So sad to hear that she has passed on. We miss a lot in the States. I'm going to miss those drooping, wrinkled stockings on the stoop. I imagine she is sweeping the gold sidewalks in Heaven and giving ol' Compo the what for. Thank you for all the years of joyful laughter. Rest in peace love.
