no it's plain old halo 2 and only in halo 2 this game takes place b4 halo 2 b4 they find master chief the covenent is dead, the rings remember.

The red plasma rifle isn't in the multiplayer. It's plain old halo 3 multiplayer on the second disk. The only difference is new music and a reskinned menu.
