  • After reading about LASIK, reading about the science behind it, researching it, and so forth.. I decided it's too freaking scary to get it. Furthermore, it doesn't do a great job to correct vision problems as a person gets older (for instance, near sighted people counter far sightedness as they age). I suggest you research LASIK more.

  • @darkgreenranger It is freaking scary. I've done lots of research. The surgeon even gave me a 12 page packet of everything that could possibly go wrong. I still think it's worth it to me. My eyes are awful, I've never met somebody more nearsighted than me. The potential positive results outweigh the risks for me. Plus my dad got his eyes done by the same surgeon 5 years ago and has been very happy with the results.

  • The positive attention of children is one of the biggest compliments one can recieve :)

Next year sounds like it's going to be amazing for you! I wish you the best of luck and I hope that you accomplish everything on your list! I should make a list. It might help combat my complete lack of self-motivation. It feels like there's always so much that I want to do, but that I end up making excuses why I can't do it, or just don't know how to achieve my goals. When it starts to get hard I just quit.

  • @DreamerRealist I do the same thing, but lists seem to help for me. I'd even go so far as making my own "syllabus" for myself, or a for a certain goal - like what I need to do every day or every week to make sufficient progress towards achieving the goal.

  • Next year: Get through first year of college. And not do anything I'll regret.

  • @spazztikpinkAK47 Good luck! :)

  • @alyiswriting You have to do it! Travel is incredible! Going alone was tough and scary for the first few days but it really forces you to meet people, I would have missed out on a lot of amazing conversations and experiences otherwise. Best countries were Germany, Spain and Scotland. Favorite memory is difficult, no one has asked me that yet haha. I will be doing marine conservation in Thailand. Where do you want to travel?? If you have any Europe questions I would love to help you out!

  • This year I completed the second phase of a secret mission which I cannot discuss with you in a publicly viewed comment section. In 2012, I will start the third phase of the secret mission and startle a specific literature section of the intelligent world.

This year I'm going to make the world (the original hard-copy one) more interesting and surprising.

It's high time to remind people of how spontaneous our universe really is.

    Please excuse the preposition.

    Wish me luck.

  • @alyiswriting You are incredibly organized :)

  • @alyiswriting If you are serious about getting some tools I can make a few recommendations. Feel free to PM if you wish. I like tools. I carry some on me every day. I have a stacking tool kit in my office next to my computer desk. :)
