AmeCon 2007 Omake - Bubble Bobble Cosplay Skit

This vid's actually of myself (Nert) and good friend Danov starring in our very own Omake skit for AmeCon 2007

Anyone not recognizing the game needs some serious childhood-reliving, but it's taken from the legendary Bubble Bobble from Taito, I'm cosplaying the main character Bub (sadly I couldn't finish a companion Bob in time) and Danov is the baddie Boris, the coconut-hurling ghost.. thing. Bub also features in the Bust-a-move/Puzzle Bobble games

Music is nabbed from the original arcade version of the game, and the Machinae Supremacy track "Sidology 3 - Apex Ultima"

Also featuring a barrel roll. Unintentional.

There's a bubble machine running at the bottom right of the video but you can barely see them sadly.. I also had a little portable blower that fits in Bub's mouth, but I can't use it when jumping around as all the liquid sloshes out.

This was amazing! I loved that the sound effects were all there, I've been playing Bubble Bobble on the NES and again on the Taito Legends PS2 disk!

I didn't get to talk to you about it properly at Ame, but I did remember seeing you as Pheonix Wright at Minamicon!

(also, was it you that did the Another World cosplay as well?)

I've been playing the Old&New version on the GBA/DS, it's still got the charm..

Aha, I've been spotted ;) Yep, both of those were me.. I'll run out of retro game characters soon I swear o.o;

Hm, not so much since you can't really see me and well, screwing up in a costume like that actually makes it funnier.. Which is a good thing, because I screwed up even just walking on stage o.o;
