No, If there is back flow after turning off your sprinkers, the injecter does not allow the water to flow through it. The holes in the injector is too small.

Do not waste money on EZ-Flo products. You can read about my experience with their product at GardenWeb - search for "ez-flo injector" and read the thread called "Do not buy." Apparently YouTube won't let me link to it.

Short version: contra the video where he says that it will put out the "right concentration of fertilizer" - the EZ-Flo does no such thing. Most people won't know that because they won't test the output. I did. The system doesn't work at the rates advertised. Stay far far away.

Yes. The manufacturer, EZflo, requires a backflow preventor. This could be any number of devices, the cheapest being a vacuum breaker.
