U.S. President Barack Obama met with Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso, the first foreign leader to visit the White House since the new president took office. Mr. Obama said his administration wants to strengthen ties with Japan and to work together on global issues. Meanwhile, the U.S. warned North Korea against disturbing regional stability, after Pyongyang announced plans to launch a satellite into space.
