@MrN52 i think if the female has pk gene then you might get some but most likely you will get mostly longtail bettas

can you breed 2 different breed?? sample a crowntail black (male) and a halfmoon red (siamese) female coz i cant make them mate its been 2 weeks they just go along with each other without mating

yup, you sure can. yeah... breeding can be pretty frustrating. Pull the pair and recondition.

@AluminumRain yes it does but it has to be constant like i.e. for over 20 gen's then major defects will start to happen

Yeah you can get some albino fish out of it. It took 4 generations of sisters to brothers to get it.

I thought line-breeding eventually weakens the breed because it can cause gene defects to occur more regularly?
