This was the last great T.V. Show that was a comedy, taught you important things, what not to do, how to deal with death and sickness, and more. NO SHOW EVER ACHIEVED WHAT THIS SHOW HAS DONE IT HELPS ME OUT ALOT especially before 11th grade my dad died and this show some episodes helped me through it as well as many other times. This song is also great I get tears every time

@AKSoldier1 yes they did end up moving, remember tim towed the house with a big semi at the end of the last episode.
-
@fastvedubremm i think it was idaho and they ended up not moving

Fantastic show, kenny rogers does great on this song as well. I agree with you cadapter, makes you wonder whos running those TV channels doesnt it. This show and growing pains will last will still be around tho.

They don't make 'em like this anymore. There is nothing good on television anymore. It has gotto so bad I don't even have cable or sattelite television. All the good shows are done with.

It has been about 20 Years since it air on TV. And this show will still give you a good laugh. The new shows like The Middle, or Modern Family are good but Home Improvement is still better.

I loved this show but it had to end and I'm glad it did before they rolled out some pretty lame storylines. The boys were gonna leave home so the 'family' side of it would have ended. Great show - like many said - you've got to watch a family grow. Just wish they'd do one last 'where are they now?' show
-
@mcmjr405 I agree. And the great thing about shows like this was that you got to see the family grow and evolve over the years...you don't see that anymore either.

I'm only 13 but I'd want 2 watch the shows my mom grow up watching instead of the crap on now

They should of done season 9 ABC tried there very best to keep it on the air even offering a reported $2m per episode to Tim Allen & $1m per episode to Patricia Richardson, which would of made them both the highest earning TV stars at the time but they decided to call time on Home Improvement at season 8, something which I think they might of regretted doing seeing what rolls they've gotten since.
there definitely aren't any shows like this around anymore...unfortunately.

it really is depressing thinking about the shows on today compared to this. Full house, Home improvement, Growing pains...they all seemed to last forever. Now we have mtv type shows plaguing the air waves..
