The Teacher Research Academy offers middle school and high school faculty unique professional development experiences at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL).
Teacher Research Academy teachers participate in a continuum of standards-based instruction, taking them from novice to mastery in exciting scientific disciplines.
Teachers who complete the TRA:
-- Increase their understanding of science and technology.
-- Become experienced using scientific equipment to perform standards aligned experiments.
-- Are better able to provide students a context to understand how science is applied.
-- Are better able to guide student research projects.

The nurturing of students by competent educators is a top priority.
"Ego" needs to be removed when nurturing is the primary objective.
One of the greatest losses to our nation & the world, is to have talented & gifted students, genuine child prodigies, slip through the cracks if only due to incompetence, ego & a failure to recognize talent.-
Promote TAG- talented & gifted programs nationwide. As well as funding for additional & ongoing training for teachers at every level
