@vesternor I have fund that fiddle music from western norway is a bit more diverse with both happy upbeat and melankolic melodies, while eastern Norway is upbeat but a bit too upbeat and happy all the time and i dont like all of it. Traders and fishermen have probably travelled between Scotland and western Norway and exchanged ideas and music a bit too being so close and Bergen being the largest city in Scandinavia in the 1600s. So Shetland was probably influenced a bit after the viking age too.

@BJHBNE I will check this out. I know we are ment to have this old ties with Norge, but it's SO old i dont know any of this music! But its got to be in the blood somwhere thats for sure!!

Really enjoyed listening to this fiddle tune this morning! Had to play it several times. Excellent. That and a cup of coffee, got me going.
