@floundericiousWA I think they Bush era tax cuts will never expire. I believe they can be sent through Congress in a minutes time.... Protects the wealth of those that have it... Check out the net worth of our prestigious Congress... It will make you shudder.

@waypastprime well, if they deadlock and the Bush tax cuts expire...then the deficit will be cut about in half and everyone will say "hey! It's the netherlands method of governance...no elected government and it got better, wow!"

Doesn't matter. None of it matters. The Super-committee was destined to fail from the start. They never really sat down and face to face tried to work it out. It was a mere stall tactic. Now they (both Dems and Reps) will find a way to squirm out of the deal, and NO CUTS will be made. Then everything will be just rosy. The birds will sing, and the land will prosper...

An observation of both parties in action reveals that the Republicans are blatantly for the rich and the elites while the Democrats are frauds that put on an act of being the party of the people but in reality they and the Republicans work together to serve the same top percent of wealth holders.

O'l Bernie still pissing in the wind, he's been doing it for years, when people say that the banks run the government and there should be investigations then we are talking.

The Supercommittee or 'The Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction' (created by the Budget Control Act of 2011 on August 2-2011) is nothing but a bunch of Criminal Crooks seeking a way to rob the low and middle class U.S. citizens blind asap!
Their goal is to find new ways asap to increase the economic gap between the peasants (= you and me) and themselves. ('Themselves' = Them...'The Elite' and their Super-Rich Bankster Masters!)
Wake Up Stupid!

The game is fixed. How do we know it is fixed? because Bernie is not in the Super Committee
-
The only thing super about the committee is how dumb it is.

@phenixwryter I wish he was the Super Committee

@technobrat1 Very well put ... and so true! I want to see Bernie out of the Senate and in the "Oval Office" ... he is incredibly intelligent, compassionate, hard-working, and makes a hell of alot of sense! Most of the country wants more choices than just a Dem or a Repug, they want a third party! Bernie is the longest serving Independent in Congress!

Bernie for President 2012!!
Democrats or Republicans:- makes no difference! Both are for the 1% not the 99%.
