Actually, there are some studies that suggest praying helps cultivate a peaceful state of mind and an ability to better cope with difficult situations due to a sense of hope it brings. So it does "work" in that perspective. After all, praying does not necessarily translate into wish-making.

absolutely, like i say, i have nothing REALLY to base that on. And upon second thought i suppose praying is more often than not positive, and positivity is always a good thing.

i dont believe its the actual act of praying, I believe its the motions and relaxation involved with it, kind of like yoga. Of course i have nothing to back this up besides the fact that the ACTUAL act of praying is nothing besides thinking.
