Dog Rescue Transport News Story

Each week, a network of animal lovers around the country works to get dogs, cats, horses, and other pets, from puppy mills and kill shelters to rescues, foster care, or forever homes. The NBC affiliate in Charlottesville, VA did a story about local transporter's efforts.

What does your therapist say about these issues you seem to have?

This isn't about humans -- this is about a solution to the overpopulation problem in this country. I asked for a solution to the kill shelter problem (which everyone, including those who work at those places, would like). You seem to have none.

What about humans??? They're being born all the time. How many shelters should we build to cage them? Should we gas half of them? 4 billion of them? They're the ones breeding like a virus building "kill shelters" to torture animals, and destroying the whole planet, so they're obviously terrorists and a threat to this planet. You still haven't given a solution for the HUMAN problem.

You still have not come up with a solution. I would LOVE for their to be no kill shelters. I would love for every dog and cat and rabbit and hamster to have a loving home. I'm in rescue work BECAUSE I want to help find homes for abandoned animals. But there are just too many and more being born all the time by BYBs and puppy millers. You really are incredibly ignorant. Get off your behind and do something for the animals instead of making assumptions about me and my "friends."

(a) The people who work there are NOT sadists. Have you ever even set foot in a shelter?

(b) What do we do with all the millions of animals that have been abandoned? You're still not addressing the problem.

Yes clearly all I want to do is kill and cause pain. This is why I do rescue transports and help get dogs out of Midwest kill shelters to better situations. Are you freaking serious? The whole thing would be EASIER with a lot more education, a lot less commercial breeders, and a lot less sanctimonious idiots. Clearly you have issues and were not worth my time to attempt to educate. If you think you know how to turn all shelters no-kill then get out there and do something about it.

Not all shelters that are forced to euthanize animals do so with gas chambers. And those who are forced to do that are not happy with it. No one WANTS to put animals down, but the unfortunate reality is that others have created such a huge over population problem that no one has a better solution. Do you?

What do you call putting millions of dog in gas chambers? And bringing them to a state of terror before doing that? The Nazis couldn't have done a better job.

Wonderful story. I'm glad to see this get some publicity! I do it every weekend that I'm able to. I wish I could do it more often.
