UP 844 heads back east from Oakland on April 22, 2009. First scenes were at Hearst (near Pleasanton, Ca) where the PLA and GGRM each set out a steam locomotive to greet the train as it took the siding for an ACE train, resembling a miniature Railfair. Last shot was at Altamont Pass.
That's an old ALCO Steamer, wonderful memories.

Even better with three Steam Engines! Too Bad they couldn't have run them side by side on the line from Oakland to Roseville. That would have been so much better!
