I go where I PLEASE wakefield....!

I think this was Walter Matthau's debut role and in retrospect it's certainly casting against type.

Who d'ast? Who d'ast slap leather with me??

@koreanstyler He didn't deserve to win because he was a coward and hid behind his whip, instead of fighting him fairly
-
Mathau's character was a coward in this film and he gets what he deserves in the end ...SHOT! LOL

"A REAL Texas man!"
The name of the movie is The Kentuckian....

Even with a whip, Matthau hasn't got a chance against Burt's bare hands!

the dude in black knows every dirty trick in the book. great cameo by colonel sanders at 2:10 but what do you expect from a movie called the kentuckian.
I love this scene. Bodine's my favorite character. He cracks that whip with style and precision. In his cool tall boots he goes wild, maintaining control even after being taken down at 1:34, then continues cracking the whip non-stop for another minute. Even gets in some good punches before getting knocked out. His character made this movie awesome!
