  • 1. catch the bird! 2. place bird upside down in cone, 3. kill the bird with wee sharp knife thru palate into brain (kevlar glove for hold hand good idea), 4, bleed by severing posterior pharyngeal artery (back of throat), 5. then scald and pluck. (don't hang too long because rigor will set.)

  • i just made my plucker and im ready to go but i need to know a few things if you could help me out that would be great i was wondering how long before you pluck the turkey do you bleed and hang it for or do you bleed it pluck it and then leave it hanging
