I met a photographer in the subway in NYC, and I talked about how I'd like to learn more about photography, but not in a class setting, but rather as an apprentice of sorts so she gave me her email and told me to send a few photos. Over 3 hours I looked over the 4,000+ photos I've taken over the last 5 years, and came up with 50 that I was particularly fond of, they are of places I've lived and traveled to, and of dear friends.

Tomorrow I'll go back and insert annotations talking about each photo and where it was taken. Nearly all of them were taken with a Fujifilm FinePix S1800

The rest with a Nikon CoolPix L11
http://www.nikonusa.com/Nikon-Products/Product-Archive/Digital-Camera/25563/C.... I really don't know much about photography, but I want to make it a large part of my life in the coming future. Hope you enjoy them folks and please leave comments/criticism/tips/ideas,

Thank you for your time :)

  • Really nice pictures! my favorite one was the one at 4:50

  • With what software you added black and white effects?

  • Congratulations on your photos, you were in Romania?

You have proved that some beautiful pictures can be made without a camera of thousands of dollars!

#15 you mean? This was on a ferry dock, that evening I missed my boat twice because I was so enthralled with capturing as much as I could of this sunset, the light quality was just incredible, and lots of shadow and light play.
