I am a husband, a father and a grandfather. I love to sing, cook and eat vegetarian food, play ultimate frisbee, tennis and go to the beach as often as possible.

Why I am a Mormon: It makes me happy. Living the principles of the gospel make me a better man, husband, father and friend. I know where I came from, the purpose of my life here and what life after death means. Because of my religion, I know who I am and that God loves me and wants me to be happy.

Are Mormons Christians? Yes. Jesus' name is in the title of the church, which tells you something. We have additional books of scripture, the purpose of which is to bear witness that Jesus is the Christ, which also tells you a great deal. In the Book of Mormon, his name or title appears once every 2.7 verses. It is probably the most Christo-centric book in the world. We are not irritated as much as amused when some choose to call us non-Christians. If they mean by that, that we don't agree with them in every particular doctrine, that is correct. We are grateful whenever anybody describes Christ as their Savior and tries to follow him. That is what we are trying to do.

Could you talk about your baptism? I was eight years old in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. My father baptized and confirmed me a member of the church. It was snowy and cold outside but sitting next to my dad holding his hand, I haver never felt more warm, secure and loved. He passed away three years ago but I can close my eyes and still feel my little hand in his.

How I live my faith: It is summed up in a song I learned as a child ... "I'm trying to be like Jesus; I'm following in his ways. I'm trying to love as he did, in all that I do and say. At times I am tempted to make a wrong choice, But I try to listen as the still small voice whispers, Love one another as Jesus loves you. Try to show kindness in all that you do. Be gentle and loving in deed and in thought, For these are the things Jesus taught. I'm trying to love my neighbor; I'm learning to serve my friends. I watch for the day of gladness when Jesus will come again. I try to remember the lessons he taught. Then the Holy Spirit enters into my thoughts, saying: Love one another as Jesus loves you. Try to show kindness in all that you do. Be gentle and loving in deed and in thought, For these are the things Jesus taught."

  • How about "Hi, I'm Byron, I was born & raised in Canada, served a mission in Mexico & I am a Human and I serve other fellow human beings."

When is humanity going to stop separating people and start connecting all beings without these nonsense religion, cults, memberships and other B.S matters such as slave made monetary system.

Hi my name is Ro, I was born & raised on this planet, served and will always serve our planet & I'm a human-being.

  • @Annuunnaki I am completely with you there my friend, while I believe some love their fellow children of God, others are too busy with distractions that they will discover much to their dismay that none of which mattered as much as their fellow human beings and how well they treated others and valued this precious gift we have here on earth.

  • thanks byron. i encourage your lifestyle choices, thanks for being conscious. now how about speaking out to the church about their lavish meat eating choices. where the heck is the prophet in all this, how is it that when I try to talk to the missionaries about vegetarianism they roll their eyes? we ARE all in this together. please actively nag the first presidency to educate the people about their un needed overkilling of animals for food. again I thank you, much love my brother.

  • @AequitasVeritas7777 ABSOLUTELY my friend! When mankind truly understands one law, "the law of one", the world will manifest a much pleasanter reality.
