Introducing the "Tribe of Judah" a praise & worship phenomena of the Trinity United Church of Christ, Chicago, IL. Young adults between the ages of 18 to 30-something, who praise the Lord in song, like they have lost their minds -smile . This clip is from one of the Tribe of Judah's maiden voyages at the Singles Community, First Fridays Worship Service. First the Tribe "wrecked" the place in song -smile- and then Rev. Rudy completed the demolition with his message -smile.

Our institutions, e.g. the government, our churches, the media, our educational system, financial systems etc. all lie to us and we like it that way.

Many of the lies, half-truths, and distortions that we have been taught have now become sacred cows.  So much so, that when someone dares to speak the truth; exposing the lies and debunking the myths that have been an integral part of the 'history' of America-- people become defensive, lash out, and want to vilify the person who is doing the truth-telling.

So when Rev. Wright brings up Hiroshima and Nagasaki; Nicaragua and Panama; South Africa and Palestine; the enslavement of my ancestors and the genocide of Native American people; when he reminds us that America's hands are not clean, many of us turn a deaf ear and want to stick our head in the sand.
