This video was filmed during a state permitted wildlife survey. The purpose of the helicopter survey was to count, observe, and film the deer population for the game biologist's harvest recommendation for thousands of acres of wild south Texas brush. Helicopters are a very effective tool to measure the population of deer over a large area. The safety and health of the deer was paramount. No deer were excessively chased and we pulled off as soon as we saw signs of fatigue.
Strap in and enjoy the ride! Big bucks and pullin' G's in a helicopter, all in the name of management.

lmao I saw the helicopter hog hunt, and when I found this I was like "What!? No way! Deer, REALLY!?"

Robert is right for the most part. This is clearly not part of a survey, at least one done correctly. When you're flying a grid you don't just haul ass after a big buck. Maybe this is after a population survey, but if you wan't to do one correctly don't deviate from the grid. It adds even more error to an already flawed and inexact method.
By your own admission these are not clips from the actual survey, but when the pilot left the grid to follow a buck, making robert technically correct.

dumbasses..... cowboys without a clue on how to conduct a true "survey" by air.... i'm hopin' these dumbasses were just hamming it up for a few mins to have some fun video for youtube. for if they really think this was a valid "by air survey," they're idiots......

Since you "know how to manage deer", you should know that this is a HIGHLIGHT video from the survey. We fly a grid and will follow a good buck for a bit to get a closer look, then we return to the grid.
You have no idea who you are calling "idiots", so that makes you a bigger idiot. I've been managing deer for over 20 years, so you might want to retract your statement.
