@knightslucky yeah you say that its simply veneration but in reality its really worshipping Mary. So many rituals devoted to her, the rosary is focused (which contains 53 Hail Mary's a prayer accorded to her). You kneel on her idol, offer flowers, say prayers to her and ask for her intercession if you does not call it worshiping I really don't know what worshiping looks like

Beautiful!! I am trying to find a song for my class, so they can learn this prayer. Lots of songs skip or add more to the "Dios Te Salve Maria" prayer. So far this is the one I want to show my 3rd graders. Thank you, this is a very peaceful and harmonic song!

This is a beautiful hymn. Flores de Mayo/Santacruzan is a beautiful tradition of ours (at which this hymn is associated with). But it is a reinterpretation of Mother/Goddess veneration in Catholic terms. Specifically, Filipino Catholic terms...supplanting the old prechristian Babaylan religion.

tau 74, learn to have some respect. whatever your thoughts may be, keep them for yourselves. if you have a problem with something that another religion does, then pray for them. don't attack them, and judge them, because at that point your committing idolatry by acting in place of God. you are no one to judge and neither am I. let God judge, because only He has the right.

marry is not a GOD for Catholic, she is the mother of Jesus so Catholic give only respect to the mother of Jesus, if you respect your mother why don't you respect the mother of Jesus and give him only a little respect, w/out him Jesus was not born, sorry for my English i'm not good to speak in English ,
