  • You can do the regular thing, 1-binomcdf(100,.8,79) or if you have already computed binomcdf(100,.8,79), you enter 1 then shift to find the ans key and enter that.

  • pdf stands for probability distribution function and calculates individual probabilities.

    Example: binompdf(3,.5) gives .125 .375 .375 .125

These are the probabilities of 0,1,2 or 3 successes with n=3 and p=0.5.

    cdf stands for cumulative probabilities.

    Example: binomcdf(3,.5,2) Gives the probability that we have 0, 1, or 2 successes added together, so we get .125 +.375 + .375 = .875

  • that is great thanks! One question, I get results in this format: 99.300211481e-3 but would like to have results in decimal like you, what setting is this please? Thanks

  • @criscris73 Your answer is in decimal form using scientific notation. The e-3 on the end of the number means to shift the decimal point 3 places to the left so 99.300211481 e-3 becomes 0.099300211481.

  • @criscris73 to get a true decimal presentation, hit the mode button and highlight normal and enter. That will get you in normal decimal load.

  • I whish I had that teacher...

Even it it means math in english and not in german but that worth it xD

  • @isard99

Danke isard99. Herr Professor Messenger ist der Lehrer. Ich bin Professor Ehlers und wir beide arbeiten so das Mathematik leicht und erfreulich ist.
