Modern Warfare 2: Cheat mode and Cheats!

To do enable cheat mode you must edit a game file. Make a backup before doing this.

Go to your Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 file.

For Steam users you may find it at Program Files - Steam - Steamapps - Common - Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

If you did not buy it through Steam and cannot find it there check Program Files - Activision - Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

Using a text editor, such as notepad, open config.cfg in the "Players" directory of the Modern Warfare 2 folder. At the end of the file add:

seta thereisacow "1337"

Then you may bind the cheats to any key by adding this after:

bind [key] [ cheat ]

The cheats are:

god - God Mode
notarget - Invisible to enemies
give ammo - Gives you ammo
noclip - Enables noclipping

Once this is done and the file has been saved, right click it and set the file to be a read only file in the properties. Once you start a new game, or select a mission from the mission select menu, hit the key that you have binded to a cheat. The cheats may also be used in Spec Ops missions.

These will only work in the single player campaign.

NOTE: The only way to know if the cheat works is by trying it out. There is no confirmation message or sound.

What is the sense of using cheats ? .. to be invincible and have a lot of XP .. this is shit ! .. Games are maked only for fun .. but whats fun in chats ? ..

Im posting this because I love this game and it used to be fun but the last time Iswithed it on and played major disappointment. It may be nothing more but a waist of time but cause im believing cheaters are social paths. But besides the point I really wish you would stop the hacking people like me have little game skills as is. And when you throw into the hacks you take away what little value of skill we have in a game. Ive never got a single nuke now the game is ruined guess I never will.
